Annette Lawrence Program: SBM Major: Finance Minor: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Year: Third Annette Lawrence is in her third year in the Business Management program at the Ted Rogers School of Management. Over the past few years at Ryerson, Annette has volunteered as a student mentor in the Tri-Mentoring Program, the RSU’s Annual Tax Clinic, Discover Ryerson events, Commerce Frosh Week 2008, DECA Ryerson events and more. She also volunteered at the 2008 BBPA’s Harry Jerome Awards and competed as a delegate at the DECA Provincial Conference in January 2009. In the summer of 2009, she held a supervisory position at Camp Green Acres in Markham, ON overseeing 26 counsellors and 130 campers. With her role on one of RCS’ subcommittees, the Internal Relations Committee, Annette brings her previous leadership experience and program planning skills to the RCS. This position allows her to be more directly involved in her fellow commerce students’ academic year, by planning fun, informative and beneficial events. Some of these events include Commerce Frosh Week 2009, the Ted Rogers Annual Charity Gala and Frost Week 2010. Annette hopes that through the RCS’ Internal Relations Committee she can continue to strengthen the relations between TRSM student groups and the RCS, as well as the Ryerson community. |
