1. Where is the application form located?
It is located next to conference name. You just have to click on “apply” and it leads you to the form.
Application Form: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dDF4VUZ3R2tUMzd6bUZmRThKTlBUQnc6MQ
2. Who is eligible for funding?
All Full-Time undergraduate students are eligible for RCS funding to go on conferences. Students must also have a valid passport.
3. What is the process after I submitted my application?
After you have submitted your application the Conferences Committee will review all applications on or after the deadline. Once a decision is made you will be contacted. If you receive an invitation to a group interview you have made it to the next stage. If not you unfortunately did not receive funding this time around but are encouraged to apply for other conferences. If you are successful at the interview you will be notified that you have be selected to represent Ryerson.
4. So what do I do after the interview?
After the interview if you are selected you will be notified to attend a mandatory RCS CONFERENCES 101 seminar. This is required of all RCS funded delegates. You will also be contacted by a chosen Conference Ambassador to submit your information such as contact info, health info, passport info, to book and confirm your travel, accommodations, and registration.
5. How does funding work?
The RCS will usually pay for your registration fees upfront while you pay the travel and accommodations. However RCS may also decide to pay the fees upfront. If you are required to pay upfront then you will be re-imbursed by the RCS. RCS re-imbursement will occur after you have submitted a RCS Cheque Requisition form which can be accessed online at the website or in the RCS Office at TRS 2-145. The process takes 1-2 weeks for your cheque to be ready.
6. What if I want to attend a conference that is not listed?
We welcome new conference ideas. Please email con.comp@rcsonline.ca if you are interested in a conference not listed. Please note that we will only review the conference if it in the scope of business of the Ted Rogers School of Management and RCS. If it has no relation to what is being exemplified by our faculty it will not be considered. If the conference is approved it will be place in the list and the application process will be similar to all conferences. No special privileges will be given to the individual who put forth the conference. PLEASE NOTE that we require you to inform us at least one month prior to the deadline of registration for the conference for it to be considered.
7. Why are competitions not listed?
We are currently working with the administration of TRSM for a better way to select delegates for competitions and at this time will not be funding students to attend competitions.
