Salvatore Anania
Hospitality & Tourism Management Director
Salvatore is a third year Hospitality & Tourism Management major from Toronto. He currently works as Youth Engagement Support at the Youth Advocacy Training Institute along with other various Government entities on Youth Engagement and Health Promotion. Last year, Sal was the Vice President of Marketing for the Hospitality Course Union and the Vice President of Finance for the Sustainable Tourism Society. He was also the recipient of the Ted Rogers of Continuing Education Scholarship. Upon graduation, he would like to attend Law School and leave Toronto to experience other countries.
Nina Tavakoli
Hospitality & Tourism Management Director
Nina is a third year Hospitality & Tourism major from Mississauga. Last year she was a Second Year Representative for the Hospitality and Tourism Course Union (now Hospitality and Tourism Management Students’ Association), which allowed her to assist in planning and organizing TRSM events. Being a part of this student group also sparked her passion for case competitions. Nina was awarded second place for a Hospitality Case Competition in Montreal with the help of training sessions and her wonderful team mates. Nina’s dream and passion is to attend law school. During her final two years at TRSM, she hopes to gain the skills and knowledge required to attain this goal.
Hitansh Nanda
Business Management Director
Hitansh is a third year Finance major and Business Technology Management minor from New York. Hitansh was the former Vice President of Operations for DECA Ryerson and the Vice President of Strategy for DECA U Board of Directors. He is currently a member of the TRMC Organizing Committee as the Vice President of Corporate Relations and the Vice President of Finance for the Ryerson Sports and Business Association. Upon graduation, he would like to pursue a CFA designation, MBA and/or Master in Finance while working towards a Trading or Investment Banking position. Hitansh would
also like to travel the world, own a condo downtown, and own court-side seats to the Knicks or the Raptors.
Amir Golbazi
Business Management Director
Amir is a third year Finance major, Marketing minor from Aurora, Ontario. Amir currently works as an Assistant Financial Adviser at Ryerson University’s Financial Aid Office. He was a member of the Ryerson Dragon Boat Team (Inter-University A-Boat Athlete) and JDCC Ryerson as a Social Team Delegate. In 2009, Amir was a recipient of the Ontario Scholar Award.
Mustafa Amer
Business Management Director
Mustafa is a fourth year Global Management major from Richmond Hill. Mustafa currently holds the position as President of DECA Ryerson for the 2011-2012 year. He has won multiple medals by competing in regional, provincial and international case competitions. Upon graduation, Mustafa plans on taking a year off to live in Egypt and become fluent in Arabic. He then plans on pursuing an MBA and move to the Middle East to start his own venture.
Faiza Hussein
Information Technology Management Director
Faiza is a fourth year Business Technology Management major from Ottawa, Ontario. She was the former Secretary for the Ryerson Commerce Society and volunteered with RCS Cares. Faiza also worked as a Student Ambassador for Ryerson University during the 2009-2010 year. This past year she volunteered with the Ted Rogers Management Conference, and has now accepted the role of Vice President Communications for TRMC 2012.
Prateek Bajaj
Information Technology Management Director
Prateek is a third year Business Technology Management major from Mississauga. Prateek began his involvement within the Ryerson Commerce Society as the Logistics Coordinator for the RCS Street Team. After graduation, he would like to explore the world and visit India, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, France and Ohio (to see Wal-Mart’s head distribution center).
Gerald Mak
Information Technology Management Director
Gerald Mak is a fourth year Business Technology Management major pursuing a Business Communications minor at the Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University. He is the currently serving his second year term as Director of BTM and was the Co-Chair of the Student Group Awards Committee last year. Prior to joining Ryerson, Gerald has worked with many organizations including the City of Toronto, Toronto District School Board, Toronto Police Service, Metrolinx, and the Government of Ontario. After university, Gerald would like to pursue a career in public service while continuing his education.
Christina Gobran
Retail Management Director
Christina is a third year Retail Management major from Kitchener. Christina began her involvement within the Ted Rogers School of Management as a Street Team Ambassador for the Ryerson Commerce Society. She currently works at both Aritzia as a cashier and Fitting Room Manager and Redbull as a Promotions Representative . Both of these positions have enabled her to obtain experience and develop a background that will be helpful in her future career. Upon completing her degree, she hopes to spend a year working in marketing abroad, while traveling. Some of the places she would like to travel to are Dubai, Paris, Switzerland or Germany.
Ife Osemeke
Retail Management Director
Ife is a third year Retail Management major from Toronto. He is currently a Third Year Respresentative on the Retail Students’ Association, works at Abercrombie & Fitch and has competed in DECA Competitions in the past. Upon graduation, Ife plans on venturing straight into the retail industry in a head office type of position, exploring various opportunities.
